Happy Birthday, Jesus

Here we're celebrating Christmas with another batch of atheist adverts, created by you, the readers.

What do you think - do you like any of these?

Keep the ideas coming: send to simon dot veksner at bbh dot co dot uk (N.B. this is not a BBH project, I just don't have another e-mail address). Next year we are going to start actually running some ads, even if I have to pay for them myself. Which I probably will.

Merry Christmas to you all.

I think the doctor one is most likely to gain positive attention from theists.

Merry Christmas :-)

I'm with Tufty. The doctor one hits home as a genuine response to the claims of the religious, and it's a truly powerful message. It infuriates me when wonderful people - like surgeons - save lives and God gets the credit. Duh.

The others still feel a bit too easy, and like preaching to the choir rather than trying to win anyone over.

We know the universe is infinitely complicated, that every time we seem to find the most basic building block of matter, we find later that even that has countless smaller particles making it up, we claim to understand the general idea of how everything came into existence and yet on no level can we replicate it.

Then we mock that if there is a God that created all of this, he couldn't possibly be complex enough to care about it.

I believe in God, I believe in good, I believe in a good God.

What's so wrong with that?
